Longer version: Sarah Prager is the author of four books on LGBTQ+ history for youth. Her young adult book, Queer, There, and Everywhere: 27 People Who Changed the World, received numerous distinctions including three starred reviews and being named a Best Book for Teens by the New York Public Library and Chicago Public Library. Sarah has presented on LGBTQ+ history to over 250 audiences across eight countries, including two U.S. embassies. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, The Atlantic, National Geographic, NBC News, Washington Post, Cosmopolitan, and other national outlets. Adaptable Standard Program Description
Join author Sarah Prager as she shares fascinating stories from LGBTQ+ history you’ve never heard before. We’ll learn why LGBTQ+ matters, how far back it goes, how it has shaped the world, and who some of the most interesting individuals from it are. Sarah is the author of four books on LGBTQ+ history: Queer, There, and Everywhere, Rainbow Revolutionaries, Kind Like Marsha, and A Child’s Introduction to Pride.

Logistics
- Payment: I prefer checks are mailed in advance or given in-person on the day of, but if your finance system only allows mailing it afterwards, that’s OK. If you prefer to pay by credit card, I can accept payments if you cover the 3% transaction fee.
- I will be listing my talk on the public speaking calendar on my website. There are three categories: Open to the Public, School Community Only, or Private. I will select the most appropriate (i.e. School Community Only for schools) unless you tell me otherwise.
- Recording is permitted for internal purposes only.
- Online: Please use sarahprager@gmail.com for all Zoom or other streaming platform invitations.
- Online: I will log on 5-10 minutes before the time we are scheduled to go live unless we make other plans.
- Online: I will be sharing my screen for a PowerPoint presentation in many cases.
- In-person: I will arrive about 10-20 minutes before start time unless we make other plans. Please let me know who will be meeting me, the exact location, and their cell phone number.
- In-person: I will be using a PowerPoint presentation so I will need an HDMI cord, projector, and screen provided. I bring my own laptop (PC) to connect by HDMI. I can email you the PowerPoint beforehand and you can have it downloaded to the presenting computer if needed.
- In-person: My presentation doesn’t need access to sound or wifi, just the connection to the projector.
