LGBTQ+ people have shaped every aspect of our world, and Sarah Prager brings the stories of these real-life heroes from across the centuries to life in her talks, featuring the most popular icons from her books Queer, There, and Everywhere: 27 People Who Changed the World (2017 & 2023, HarperCollins), Rainbow Revolutionaries: 50 LGBTQ+ People Who Made History (2020, HarperCollins), Kind Like Marsha: Learning from LGBTQ+ Leaders (2022, Running Press) and A Child’s Introduction to Pride: The Inspirational History and Culture of the LGBTQIA+ Community (2023, Hachette) and her writing for publications including The New York Times, National Geographic, Washington Post, The Atlantic, Cosmopolitan, and NBC News.

Sarah PragerAlong with queer backstories of some of history’s most famous names and some LGBTQ+ history classics, listeners will get to know the Mexican nun who dared to write love poems to a queen, the transgender Civil War solider who transitioned while immigrating to America, and the gay baseball player who was forced to choose between his career and identity. Their biographies cover every color of the rainbow and every corner of the globe.
